As per the Union health ministry, the number of healthcare workers across the country to receive COVID-19 vaccination as part of the nationwide vaccination drive surpassed 33 lakh on Friday.

The ministry stated that close to 4,40,681 individuals received the jab till 7 PM on Friday. The provisional report stated that 33,68,734 individuals had been vaccinated against COVID-19 through 62,939 sessions across India till 7 PM on Friday. Additionally, 213 adverse events following immunization (AEFIs) have been reported till 7 PM, Friday.
